Will 20th Century Fox Release The Poseidon Adventure 1972 On Blu Ray?

Does anyone know if 2oth Century Fox has any plans to release The Poseidon Adventure 1972 on Blu Ray in 2009? The 2006 Special Edition standard DVD is no longer avialable.

I have no inside information on that.

However, if the 2006 SE is no longer available that can be a good
indicator that a new release is being planned in the same way that
The Wizard of Oz has been discontinued due to a new release
in 2009.

Not saying it will happen, but The Poseidon Adventure is a very
hot Fox property and I could very well see them putting this at the
top of their priority list for BD release.

Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I envision this coming out day and date with "THE TOWERING INFERNO", seeing as they seemed to have come out together since the VHS days with those fox WIDESCREEN collection tapes.

I can only hope that Fox is able to dig up the film's original full 4-track mix for the next release.

This is one of my favorites.  Has anyone heard anything?  Thank goodness I have the discontinued DVD.
