Paul Benedict, 70; Played Neighbor on 'The Jeffersons' - washingtonpost.com

This sucks - he was an extremely underrated TV and movie actor, not to mention the Mad Painter of Sesame Street:

Oh man! I totally forgot about the mad painter. Thanks for the flashback.

And speaking of the mad painter. This is the one I always like as a kid, but Dude, what's the deal with the guy salting his banana?

This sucks.
I never heard about this and reading this late sad news.

He was also Not Guffman in Waiting for Guffman
and don't forget Arthur Fleeber from the fantastic The Freshman
