Ok, I'll do my best to see if I can explain this properly.
I have a 52" Zenith DLP. Within the last week or so I started to notice some picture problems. It only happens with darker pictures, when the picture is in a daytime setting or watching sports games, there are no problems. Whats happening is almost a chrome effect around people, loss of detail, skin looks blotchy and blurred. Also, mass amounts of pixalization during darker scenes. This also happens during HD content (cable or Blu Ray).
I have had the TV for about a year and a half, so I thought maybe the bulb was finally going out. Yet, the lamp indicator light on the TV wasn't on. I have two extra bulbs so I figured I would change it anyway just to see. Didn't help at all. Quite frustrated and hope maybe you guys might have some suggestions.
Your insight will be greatly appreciated.
I did some more research, and this may be what is called posterization. What exactly is that? Can it be fixed?
