793.  Peyton Place:  Episode 6 (1 Oct 1964)  Saturday night is date night in Peyton Place.  And date night means lots of drama.

3 Oct 2009
794.  Doctor Who:  "The Rescue:  Desperate Measures" (9 Jan 1965)
795.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 385 (15 Dec 1967)  Introducing witch hunter Reverend Trask, who interrogates Victoria, and then leaves her tied to a tree all night to test if she is a witch.
796.  Adam-12:  "Log 1" (21 Sep 1968)  Officer Malloy wants to resign after the death of his partner, but being teamed with rookie Officer Reed changes his mind.

4 Oct 2009
797.  Mystery Science Theater 3000:  Show #1012 - Squirm (with the short A Case of Spring Fever) (1 Aug 1999) Movie:   Show:
798.  Doctor Who:  "The Romans:  The Slave Traders (16 Jan 1965)

5 Oct 2009
799.  Heroes:  "Redemption:  Chapter Three - Acceptance" (5 Oct 2009)
800.  Doctor Who:  "The Romans:  All Roads Lead to Rome" (23 Jan 1965)
801.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 386 (18 Dec 1967)  Barnabas and Nathan Forbes rescue Victoria, but now Angelique knows she has a scapegoat for her activities.

6 Oct 2009
802.  Doctor Who:  "The Romans - Conspiracy" (30 Jan 1965)
803.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 387 (19 Dec 1967)  Reverend Trask starts acting like Joseph McCarthy (probably the writer's intention), but Angelique wraps him around her little finger.
804.  Peyton Place:  Episode 7 (6 Oct 1964)  More Saturday night romance and heartbreak.
805.  Petticoat Junction:  "The President Who Came To Dinner" (8 Oct 1963)  The president of the C. & F.W. Railroad shows up incognito in Hooterville, and becomes completely charmed by life at the Shady Rest.

7 Oct 2009
806.  Glee:  "Vitamin D" (7 Oct 2009)  Just keeps getting better.

8 Oct 2009
807.  Doctor Who:  "The Romans - Inferno" (6 Feb 1965)  This serial is the best sustained use of comedy in the entire history of the show.

9 Oct 2009
808.  Peyton Place:  Episode 8 (8 Oct 1964)  As the town prepares for Founder's Day, Dr. Rossi confirms Betty's pregnancy.  And guests arrive for brunch at the Harringtons.
809.  The Beverly Hillbillies:  "Granny's Garden" (9 Oct 1963)  Seeing the full length version confirms a suspicion -- this episode was a thinly disguised PSA for the agribusiness industry, sponsored by Kellogg's.  Ironically, 46 years later, more people are planting gardens than ever before.
810.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 388 (20 Dec 1967)  When Angelique learns that Barnabas, despite everything, still loves Josette, she takes her revenge out on Sarah.
811.  Doctor Who:  "The Deadly Assassin, Part One" (30 Oct 1976)

10 Oct 2009
812.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 389 (21 Dec 1967)  Angelique offers to "cure" Sarah, if Barnabas agrees to marry her.

11 Oct 2009
813.  The Paul Lynde Halloween Special (29 Oct 1976)  Scary, but in an entirely different way!  Guest starring Margaret Hamilton (as the Wicked Witch of the West), Billie Hayes (as Witchiepoo), Tim Conway, Roz "Pinky Tuscadero" Kelly, Florence Henderson (singing a disco version of "That Old Black Magic"), Betty White, Billy Barty and, in a special cameo appearance, Donny and Marie Osmond.  And in their first prime-time television appearance... KISS!  I lived through the '70s, and, at the time, did not realize that they were this weird.
814.  Mystery Science Theater 3000:  Show #1013 - Danger: Diabolik (8 Aug 1999) Movie:   Show:   And the show ends with Mike and the 'Bots returning to Earth.  But first, they take on a really good movie, and can't do much with it.

12 Oct 2009
815.  Heroes:  "Redemption:  Chapter Four - Hysterical Blindness" (12 Oct 2009)
816.  Doctor Who:  "The Deadly Assassin, Part Two" (6 Nov 1976)
817.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 390/391 (22 Dec 1967)  Jeremiah's ghost appears to Josette at the moment of his death.
818.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 392 (26 Dec 1967)  Angelique uses Josette to resurrect Jeremiah.  The show's first zombie.

13 Oct 2009
819.  Doctor Who:  "The Deadly Assassin, Part Three" (13 Nov 1976)  The most original (and controversial) episode in the show's history.
820.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 393 (27 Dec 1967)  As the family moves to the new house, Joshua objects to Barnabas marrying Angelique, and Josette and Naomi are terrified by the zombie Jeremiah.
821.  Peyton Place:  Episode 9 (13 Oct 1964)  It's Founder's Day, and Betty needs to tell Rod her secret.
822.  Petticoat Junction:  "Is There a Doctor in the Roadhouse?" (15 Oct 1963)  When Norman Curtis, president of the C. & F.W. Railroad breaks the throttle of the Cannonball, he flies in a group of his old friends to fix it in time for Kate's jamboree at the Shady Rest.  This show seems more and more like Paul Henning's version of The Andy Griffith Show, which is not a bad thing, but unexpected.

14 Oct 2009
823.  Doctor Who:  "The Deadly Assassin, Part Four" (20 Nov 1976)  A bit of a let down from the previous episode, but still quite good.
824.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 394 (28 Dec 1967)  Angelique uses Jeremiah to convince Barnabas to go through with the marriage.
825.  The Beverly Hillbillies:  "Elly Starts to School" (16 Oct 1963)  Mrs. Drysdale arranges for Elly to go to The Willows, an exclusive finishing school, in a bid to run the Clampetts off, but Miss Hathaway gets to the school first and convinces the girls that Elly's hillbilly clothes are the next big thing.  (And TBH, she was only off by about five years.)  This episode features Sharon Tate as one of the students.  When growing up, I always got a chill when I saw her in this show.

16 Oct 2009
826.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 395 (29 Dec 1967)  Joshua disowns Barnabas, but Naomi gives the couple the deed to the Old House.  Meanwhile, Angelique loses control over Jeremiah.

17 Oct 2009
827.  Glee:  "Throwdown" (14 Oct 2009)
828.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 396 (1 Jan 1968)  Barnabas hides Victoria in the Old House, and she confesses to him that she is from 1967.  Meanwhile, on the eve of the wedding, Jeremiah kidnaps Angelique and buries her alive in his own grave.
829.  Peyton Place:  Episode 10 (15 Oct 1964)  Founder's Day continues, and much is bubbling to the surface.

19 Oct 2009
830.  Heroes:  "Redemption:  Chapter Five - Tabula Rasa" (19 Oct 2009)
831.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 397 (2 Jan 1968)  Ben rescues Angelique and the wedding proceeds, but Jeremiah (who's acting as much like a ghost as a zombie) continues to threaten her.

20 Oct 2009
832.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 398 (3 Jan 1968)  Angelique finds Victoria hiding in the Old House and decides to send Abigail a dream revealing the hiding place.
833.  Peyton Place:  Episode 11 (20 Oct 1964)  Betty gets Rod away from Allison, and tells him she knows about their parents' affair, and that she's pregnant.  Then, tragedy strikes...
834.  Petticoat Junction:  "The Courtship of Floyd Smoot" (22 Oct 1963)  When Floyd is dumped by a female pen pal, Kate tries to build up his self esteem.

21 Oct 2009
835.  Glee:  "Mash-Up" (21 Oct 2009)
836.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 399 (4 Jan 1968)  Angelique uses Victoria's voice to summons Sarah to the Old House, but Sarah helps Victoria to hide from the searching Joshua and Abigail.
837.  The Beverly Hillbillies:  "The Clampett Look" (23 Oct 1963)  A comedy of errors, Clampett-style.  The wealthy Fenwicks want to ingratiate themselves to the Clampetts, while the Clampetts think they're a poor widow and her daughter needing their help.

24 Oct 2009
838.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 400 (5 Jan 1968)  While Trask performs a rite of exorcism outside the Old House, Angelique casts a spell creating an illusion of fire in Victoria's room, which drive her into his clutches, but Barnabas overhears his wife performing black magic.
839.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 401 (8 Jan 1968)  His suspicions aroused, Barnabas searches out Ben, who confirms Angelique is the witch by writing her initial in the dust.
840.  Peyton Place:  Episode 12 (22 Oct 1964)  While Rod walks away from the car crash, Betty is taken to the hospital, and George learns of his daughter's pregnancy.

26 Oct 2009
841.  Heroes:  "Redemption:  Chapter Six - Strange Attractors" (26 Oct 2009)
842.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 402 (9 Jan 1968)  Barnabas plots to murder Angelique, first by poison, then by stabbing.

27 Oct 2009
843.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 403 (10 Jan 1968)  Having failed to kill Angelique, Barnabas tries to get the du Prés family to flee for their own safety, but Angelique is using a bat to spy on her husband.
844.  Peyton Place:  Episode 13 (27 Oct 1964)  Betty learns that she has lost the baby.
845.  Petticoat Junction:  "Please Buy My Violets" (29 Oct 1963)  The first laugh out loud episode of the season.  Uncle Joe takes the money Kate was using to buy new screens for the hotel windows, and "invests" it in Lord and Lady Violet Cologne, the most noxious perfume on the planet.  Featuring the first appearance of Hank Patterson as pig farmer Fred Ziffell (sic).

28 Oct 2009
846.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 404 (11 Jan 1968)  Millicent arranges for Barnabas and Josette to meet, and he pleads with her to flee to Boston.  Meanwhile, Victoria gains a new defender -- law student Peter Bradford (Roger Davis).
847.  The Beverly Hillbillies:  "Jethro's First Love" (30 Oct 1963)  Jethro decides he is ready to start courting... and brings home thirtysomething stripper Chickadee Laverne.  Featuring Sharon Tate in her first appearance as bank secretary Janet Trego.

29 Oct 2009
848.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 405 (12 Jan 1968)  Josette and Natalie leave Collinwood in the middle of the night.  When Angelique learns she has been thwarted, she decides to take out her revenge on Sarah.  To prevent that, Barnabas shoots her, and she curses him with vampirism.
849.  Peyton Place:  Episode 14 (29 Oct 1964)  A month after the accident, Rod and Betty have run off one dark and stormy night to get married... but without telling Rod she is no longer pregnant.

30 Oct 2009
850.  Dark Shadows:  Episode 406 (15 Jan 1968)  Angelique survives her wound, and immediately regrets cursing Barnabas, while Josette begins to manifest a neck wound, and fears for his life.

I'm not really into vampire TV shows/movies but I love that show. I thought the second season was alot of fun too (and really amped up the gore and sex compared to the first season).

7 Oct 2009
