Re: 2009 TRACK THE TV EPISODES YOU WATCH

I finished Gunsmoke Season 2 today. Overall it was a better season than the first. Kitty and Doc are in almost every episode, where as in season 1 they had a lot of episodes that focused only on Matt and Chester.

Re: 2009 TRACK THE TV EPISODES YOU WATCH

12 Mar 2009
195. Doctor Who: "The Sea Devils, Episode One" (26 Feb 1972)
196. Dark Shadows: Episode 238 (24 May 1967)
197. Match Game: Episode 04-4 (21 Jul 1979) Kirstie Alley's final day as a contestant. After six years, the show is starting to feel tired.
198. Adventures of Superman: "The Brainy Burro" (14 Apr 1958) Superman meets... a mind-reading donkey. Ugh!
199. The Beverly Hillbillies: "Jed Buys the Freeway" (27 Feb 1963)
Nothing particularly special about this episode, but it's stuck in my mind all these years due to the extensive location shooting at the Hollywood Bowl and Griffith Park.

I also watched a half hour of Winston cigarette and Kellogg's commercials included on the MPI Beverly Hillbillies set. It was bizarre seeing the cast in character doing these bits, especially singing the Winston jingle.

My February tally.
My March tally.

Re: 2009 TRACK THE TV EPISODES YOU WATCH

I am almost done with Breaking Bad: S1 here. I highly recommend everyone check that out. Up next for me is my annual X-files S1-S9 viewing. So I will be dedicated to the X-files and only the X-files for the next few weeks. Yes, i have been watching it through once a year for the last several years. It may surprise many that it is my alltime favorite show. Since I spend most of my time watching 70's and 80's TV for the most part. But yeah X-files is #1 for me.

I am going to be slowing down bigtime as baseball season starts up in 3 weeks. The New York Mets have to take priority at that point. But, I will still get a little bit of viewing in.

I assume you know this but Vince Gilligan (long time XF writer/producer) is the creator of Breaking Bad which, like you said, is quite good.

Don't forget to watch I Want To Believe after S9.

Yeah, props to you for knowing that yourself! I will not forget to watch "I Want To Believe" or "Fight the Future". I am sure many want to forget the recent movie. I thought it was pretty good, but I am not biased in any way shape or form now.

I'm certainly biased as well and while the new movie wasn't a summer action movie, I still thought it was a solid dramatic 'episode' of the series. I really liked that they chose to get into the larger issues (faith, belief, love) that the show tackled rather than having special effects and car chases. Of course, that lack of explosions and huge set pieces is probably a big reason why the movie did so poorly at the box office.

Either way, I was happy to see Mulder and Scully for one last (?) time.

I agree, it is a great show. And really glad it got a 2nd season.

You and me both. Although it's the Phillies for me, but I'll watch any MLB game. I guess we can't include baseball in our viewing list.

Re: 2009 TRACK THE TV EPISODES YOU WATCH

Today (so far)
-The Invaders S1
("Quantity Unknown")
("The Innocent") (also heard the commentary track. Could have done without knowing about Larry Cohen's politics.
("The Ivy Curtain")

-Gunsmoke S3 V1
("Kitty's Outlaw")

-Have Gun Will Travel S1
("Winchester Quarantine")

Gunsmoke S3 and HGWT S1 share the same broadcast dates (don't know if they aired back to back) so the routine is to watch those shows back to back and recreate a 1957-58 viewing experience.

Re: 2009 TRACK THE TV EPISODES YOU WATCH

Now that I'm back at work, I won't be watching nearly as much as I have the past week. I do try to avoid marathon viewing of any show, and usually limit to 2 episodes per day, but ended up going through more shows. I think I am currently going through 5 different shows at this time.

How sad that I have nothing better to do.
