I think your kid is going to be happy Matt. And getting the wife what she said to get will keep her happy too. Nice job.

I think it's still valid. The sets are priced at $24.99 plus they have a "Buy 2, get an additional $10 off" special (combos are sets 1 & 3, sets 2 & 4; scroll down the page a ways and you can see the combo deal). So if you add all four sets to your cart, you should see additional discounts of $10 off two of the sets.

Re: The amazing annual Black Friday "What Did You Get" Thread

Don't know if this counts as a BF/CM deal, but I just took the plunge on a new 32GB 2nd gen iPod Touch off eBay for a net cost of ~$228 using a CM 10% off coupon plus 30% Microsoft cashback rebate (via Live.com).

If Microsoft's cashback program is still going strong by the time I'm ready to upgrade my RPTV, I'll probably use it to save that extra bit more from somewhere like OneCall.com -- currently, they offer 4% back for OneCall. Too bad OneCall does not seem to be carrying the Samsung 67" Series 7 DLP though -- they only list the 61".

Anyway, not sure how long the 30% back offer lasts w/ eBay (BIN) purchases. Anyone interested should probably go check it out asap at Live Search cashback - Live Search.

You're right it did! I think I'll order this later when I'm at home. Thanks for the heads up.

James -- I LOVED Stranglehold! (PS3 version.) You should really pick it up sometime.

My wife went out cruising a few stores at 4 am, and I think all she ended up getting was a shirt. I took my son out late morning/ early afternoon to OfficeMax, Toys R Us, and Walmart, and the only thing we weren't able to get was the AC/DC Fan Pack. (At 2 pm, Walmart still had a huge stack of $200 BD decks, but no AC/DC games.)

At OfficeMax I got a few memory cards and small office supplies and a shredder to replace the dead one I got last Black Friday at Office Depot. Wish me better luck this time!

At Toys R Us we got a 10-pack of Matchbox planes and an R/C helicopter, both at 50% off, and Hell's Highway for PS3 at 70% off.

At Walmart we got groceries and a car transporter Mack (from Cars) with three cars that my son doesn't have for a little more than 50% off. It was the first time I'd ever seen that toy packaged with cars that he doesn't have (usually it comes with McQueen, Chick, and the King), *and* the first time I've seen it on sale. Score!

I also ordered a bunch of board games from the online BF sales at MMP (Curt Schilling's company), Fantasy Flight, and Lock 'n' Load.

Hey, I spent all my movie money at Deep Discount and Amazon last week!

I got a 17" LCD monitor/TV at Buy.com yesterday for $89.99. Seemed like a good deal, as I'd just looked at them in Walmart for $168.88.

I heard the physics and all are terrific. I do wish I'd picked it up @$2.90. Now the sale is over. That other game they had was Blacksite Area 51. It was $1.90. I regret not getting those. But there will be other sales. I'll bet Big Lots gets both those before long.

Re: The amazing annual Black Friday "What Did You Get" Thread

More like a combo Black Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

Sunday I stumbled across a half off sale on Klipsch earphones, so I ordered (and have received) a pair of Klipsch X-5 in-ear monitors from the Klipsch website. These were for me.

My wife wants a laptop, so I ordered this Acer Aspire from Office Max.

Finally, I needed a quality player to go with the X-5's, so I ordered a Cowon D2 from Amazon, along with a case and 8GB SDHC card.

Normally I would have waited another week or two to buy the D2 and laptop, but we are going to Hawai'i for a second honeymoon in a couple of weeks and I wanted to make sure I had time to get everything delivered and checked out before we left. The Klipsch sale ended Sunday, so I had to buy then or miss the deal.

Re: The amazing annual Black Friday "What Did You Get" Thread

For myself, from Fry's, I ended up buying the LG GGC-H20L drive, which reads Blu-ray/HD DVD, and burns DVD+/-R/RWs and does lightscribe. That, unfortunately, led me to think about building a new PC from scratch since my current PC is about 6 years old, and just one northbridge fan from becoming useless at this stage. So I'm on a PC Parts component research/buying spree, having ordered everything except for the motherboard, some hard drives, a floppy and card reader, and maybe a few extra case fans.

I did get a bunch of DVDs from Best Buy, Target, and Wal-Mart to give out to co-workers, these ranged from $2, $4, $5, $6, $7 and $10 titles.
