Hello experts - I'm new to this forum and excited to get some input. I've recently upgraded my TV (58" Panasonic Plasma) and receiver (Yamaha RVX1800). It is time to improve my speakers. I currently use a Paradigm HTIB (Cinema 90 series with subwoofer). I don't have the funds to upgrade the entire system, so I plan on using the 4 small paradigm speakers as surround and rears to complete a 7.1 setup. The subwoofer gets the job done in my living room (dimesnsions: 16'x12'), but the front and center don't cut it. I have demo-ed some Monitors (RS-6) and I was impressed, but I would like to achieve a comparable quality at a lower cost ($400-$500 for pair of fronts, $250-350 for center channel). The room is large enough that I'm leaning towards floorstanding for R/L, and I have space for a good sized center. I have read a number of posts but still can't seem to find a solid recommendation for a set of these 3 pieces. Please fire away with your ideas! Used mostly for home theatre, occassionally music (various genres). I'm not an audiophile so the subtleties are less important than reliability and overall sound quality.
Thanks in advance,
Max
