I have the above-mentioned unit, which I've recently upgraded to firmware version 4.30. I've been operating the unit for approximately two months now. It has performed perfectly almost always. However, something has occurred on three occasions now that has me wondering if my player is defective.
I'll be playing a DVD and suddenly, randomly, the player will freeze as if I pressed pause. The image freezes, audio ceases, and I cannot stop the disc, eject the disc or power off the unit. The only thing I can do is unplug it from the outlet and plug it back in to reset it. Once I've done this, the player will play though the section it had frozen upon without a problem.
Anyone else experience this?
