24 Redemption - Which version

I am a bit confused.

24 Redemption is due for release on 23 November on Region 1 and there are two versions out on region 2 on 1 December. The Region 2 ones are a single disc version and a 2 disc directors cut extended version.

I want to get the extended version of this and although TVshowsonDVD says that the R1 release on 23 November is the extended version I am a bit unsure why the R2 release of this is two discs. Perhaps they are doing this to justify it being more expensive than the single disc version with the TV cut.

As I would like to get this as soon as possible, is it pretty certain that the R1 single disc release is the extended version?

I don't have the disc so I can't say for sure but everything that I've read says that the R1 version is the extended cut.
