Wow!  Look at all the new posters in my thread!  Anyway in regards to Doneysr:
Most of the "deals" are for a specific day, usually running from about midnight to midnight. (Hence the thread title, "Amazon MP3 Deal of the Day"!)  The same goes for the free tracks, although many of them run longer.  The free label samplers tend to be free forever.  The 50 $5 titles start on the first of the month and end on the last day of the month.  From the MP3 homepage on Amazon, click on the "Free Songs And Special Deals" icon to see everything---there are usually around 500 free songs to download!  Hope this helps!

There was a free song yesterday, but it wasn't listed when I wrote up my post.  Sadly, it's back to 99 cents!

If you are a fan of 80's British dance music (Human League, Heaven 17, Thompson Twins, etc), I HIGHLY recommend the "Free Song of the Week" on iTunes:  "Bulletproof" by Laroux.  One of my favorite songs of the summer!

Also, the free "Pick of the Week" at Starbucks is "I and Love and You" by the Avett Brothers.
