Now THAT's a good post.  Except "Medeski, Martin & Wood" which is the worst band I ever had the misfortune of sitting through in a live concert.  Excellent musicians, terrible songwriters.  Listen, I like jam bands as much as the average person (which isn't much at all), but if you are gonna jam, jam around something interesting musically!  After that concert I renamed that band "Violence, pestilence and plague".  Not sure how their studio stuff is but you couldnt pay me to see them live again.  =)
