agreed. Listen to his commentary track. They hired Burton and then didn't let him do his thing. So the film ends up as a weird hybrid of Burton style Apes and a typical summer "action" blockbuster. Could have worked as one or the other but not in it's final bastardized form.

Does the box set have all the films in their "blu" cases, or are they in some sort of other package? I am trying to see how shelf friendly it is.

They are all stuck on some sort of silicone hubs inside the big case. I just moved them to a 6-DVD case I had and printed up some custom art I had left from the first DVD release. I would have waited for individual releases but I couldn't pass up the price or book (which is actually very nice).
