37" sharp lcd help!!

I have a friend who will sell me his sharp aquios 37" hdtv for bout 150, but he threw his wii mote into it and only about 1/3 actually works. Is there any way i could get it fixed for just a couple hundred or so or is it better to buy a new one and be done with it.
