Badlands?

Warner just released (through New Line) the extended cut of Malick's The New World and they are producing his latest, The Tree of Life (TBA 2009). Since Malick and Warner seem to be getting along so well right now, why not release his first film -- a Warner catalog title -- as a deluxe DVD and Blu-Ray to coincide with the theatrical release? Badlands is one of my favorite movies of all time and I believe many others feel the same way. Maybe throw in a Blu New World just to sweeten the whole deal?

A trio of Malick films on BRD next year would make a wonderful tribute to one of the most unsung film artists of our time.

Re: Badlands?

I'll take any old Malick on BD...since I love them all.

A couple of days ago I watched David Gordon Green's 'Undertow', and noticed that Malick was one of the producers. I suppose there's an abstract kind of symmetry to the film worlds of Green and Malick.

Oh, well...just an unrelated observation.
