According to a post on goldenagecartoons.com, it's a pocket-sized version of a Jerry Beck LT Visual Guide book. So, no DVD-specific guide.

The Bond Blu-Rays were all $19.99 at my Target, they were marked with a temporary price cut sticker (odd for a new release) so I don't know if it is a YMMV.

And that's one happening deal, Doug! It'll be interesting to see if that's at all Targets. I may be heading to one tonight. If I do, I'll check.

Yep! That's what it is. I passed on it for now. That's not a big enough motivator for me. I will definitely get this set at some point, but budgets are a bit tighter right now.

It's clearly there...according to their promotional material...but I don't know yet what it is. Maybe someone who picked one up can report in as to what it includes.

The 2nd disc in Target's set includes an additional 30 minutes of bonus material versus the general retail sets. It has 4 or 5 additional featurettes.

I went into CC today and not only did they not have any blu Bond, they said they never received any at all. This is the Little Rock CC.

Yes, the third disc is still just the digital copy.

The 30 minutes of Target-exclusive bonus features were added to the Disc 2 in the Target set (which Disc 2, confusingly, comes in a white paper sleeve inside the Target-exclusive packaging, while their digital copy disc gets a printed sleeve that is somewhat reminiscent of the packaging for the third disc that came with Circuit City's exclusive 3-disc version of Superman Returns).

Re: Weekly RoundUp 10-21-2008

Erin,

I just spun Disc 2 of the Target-exclusive set quickly so that I could post some details on the Target-exclusive bonus features (I note that I am referring to this as Disc 2 to differentiate it from the digital copy disc, but it is actually labeled simply as "Bonus Disc", as is true of Disc 2 in the general retail versions of the DVD). Despite the extra content, there is nothing obvious on the face of the disc to differentiate it from Disc 2 of the general retail version (i.e., unlike Target's exclusive version of Disc 2 of the Sex And The City movie DVD, the disc itself does not say Target-exclusive or anything similar).

On Disc 2 from the Target set, the first page of the Bonus Features menu has the word "MORE" at the bottom. When you click "MORE", it takes you to the second page of the Bonus Features menu, where you find the following additional featurettes:

An Incredible Evolution (13:07)

The Hulk Who Wasn't There (6:10)

Creating Hulk Comic Books (7:14)

Incredible Hulk Screening in Austin, Texas (6:32)

Being Green (3:09)

Hope this helps!

And, Johnny: Thanks for confirming what most of us have known for a long time...that Circuit City seems to be coming more and more useless for stocking their advertised items.

As an aside, I saw single copies of each Blu Bond at my local Wal-Mart tonight for $24.96.

Has anyone confirmed the earlier report of the individual Blu Bonds @ Target for $19.99 apiece?

Yes and can also confirm the Fry's $16.99 price here in Dallas, but neither store had these prices marked on the racks.

My pleasure, Mike. It's always a pleasure to be able to make a meager contribution to the invaluable Weekly Roundup!

Your welcome. Last night, I emailed CC to complain. I guess there's a snowball's chance in H-E double toothpicks that they'll do something about it.

I hope I can get over to Target tomorrow and find me some Connery Bonds.

Re: Weekly RoundUp 10-21-2008

I got my CC reply in less than a day. Here it is:
Quote:
Dear Sucker...er I mean Johnny Angell:

Thank you for taking the time to contact circuitcity.com to share your concerns. We regret that your local Circuit City store in Little Rock, AR did not have the Bond movies advertised in our weekly flyer. On behalf of Circuit City, please allow me to apologize for any inconvenience that may have occurred. The satisfaction of our customers is vitally important to our success. Our advertisement does state that movies are available at most stores, but there are some locations that may not have the items in which you are interested. Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention, however, and rest assured that your feedback has been shared with the appropriate personnel.

We would appreciate the opportunity to serve you in the future.

Re: Weekly RoundUp 10-21-2008

I found the three Connery Bonds in Blu today at Target and they were marked, or at least the shelf was, at $20. The three cost me a buck less than I would have paid at CC.

Re: Weekly RoundUp 10-21-2008

Regarding the Blu Bonds at Target for 19.99... Dang! This is what I get for not reading the Round-up all week long! Only found two of them at CC. Still want Dr. No and Thunderball!

I imagine that 19.99 sale ended yesterday! Still, how many times can I buy these movies?

Not necessarily...when I worked at Target the "Temporary Price Cut" sales (which are basically unadvertised specials, although sometimes they may be shown in the Sunday flyer) always ran from Tuesday through Monday. Some lasted just one week, others could go as long as four to six weeks. The "effective dates" are listed on a line on the bottom of the TPC or Sale sign.

Re: Weekly RoundUp 10-21-2008

Thanks, Eric!

Went in yesterday and sure enough... they were still 19.99! I picked up 3 or 'em!

Yeah, I gave up on CC a long time ago; the local store never has the advertised specials. It's a scam.
