Another amazing stat is he went the entire Stanley Cup playoff ('72) without ever being scored on while he was on the ice. Orr's unbelievable offensive talent frequently overshadowed the fact that he was the best defenseman (in every sense of the word) who ever played the game. No matter how many times he rushed up into the play, his speed still allowed him to be the first man back to break up a scoring chance by the other team. He was like having Paul Coffey and Larry Robinson on the ice at the same time, in the same person (except Orr was better than both).
