Has anyone ever tried to cancel TiVo service

I'm finding it's next to impossible.

On the website, it took me ten minutes to even find any mention of canceling. Then, when I clicked on the link, it took me to a page that told me the many reasons why I should not cancel.

Then, a line said, "Still not convinced? Contact us today and our Customer Support team will help you with your issue."

I clicked on "contact us today" and arrived at the support page, which tells me that TiVo does not offer email support, only phone support.

Fine.

Except that I've been on the phone all freakin' morning trying to get through, getting nothing but a busy signal.

It's funny, you can apparently do anything at all with your account online except cancel it.

Oh well, back to the phone lines.

Exactly! Thats what happened to me when they tried to access my credit card on file that had expired and couldn't get paid. They were calling fast wanting me to change cards, which I did.
