Eli Stone season 2 - Page 2

Re: Eli Stone season 2

At least it wasn't hard to see in ABC.COM. I had completely forgotten where we left off when it was put on hiatus/cancellation. I hope some things are resolved in the remaining episodes, but I doubt it. That really was a good show.

I watched Mortal Combat (I think that was the name of Saturday's episode).  Maggie has "evolved" to the point where she now is romantically involved with the lead of the nasty firm, while Matt has decided that he can't stay there.  2 more episodes until the end.

I appreciate that ABC is showing the final episode of "Pushing Daisys" and "Eli Stone". I wished they would have promoted them as much as the silly "Wash Out". I miss creative story telling and am sad to see these shows go.

Last night I saw our second to last episode -  "Tailspin".   I was glad to see that several plot points were wrapped up - Eli's silent treatment of his brother and Dr. Chen; more understanding of his father; Jordan and her father; and the Weathersby law firm's survival.  What was confusing was in the previous episode Eli saw Maggie and Paul together in a vision and seemingly going out, but then in this episode it appears that their relationship is really only starting.

In any case, I am glad that we did get a chance to see what we could of this series and these final episodes.

Just wondering what everyone's take on the final episode is.  We got some closure, but I will definitely miss this series.

I really enjoyed it, and I liked how it brought things full circle from the original pilot.

I'm also sad that it's all done.  All of the main actors fit into their roles so well, especially by the end.

Please help refresh my memory.  In the final scene with Eli and his father, Tom Cavanaugh talks about Grace.  Who was this?  This character has completely slipped my memory.

Grace first appeared in the second episode of the season - "Grace" and was played by Katie Holmes.  They fell hard for each other.

As far as the series finale - I thought it worked well.  I wish we had more episodes, but it was a good way of wrapping things up.

Thanks for refreshing my memory.  I remember Katie Holmes' episode, but I had forgotten her character name.  There was just too much time between episodes for my mind to stay fresh.

Yah, I had to do a quick revisit online to remember who Grace was.  You can tell that the show was meant to be watched week after week as opposed to month after month. :P

Another good ABC show closes its door prematurely while some real questionable stuff (in my opinion) still is on the schedule.  All in all a good ending but I would have much preferred it if Eli has been allowed to stick around for another season or two. And people wonder why Network TV's share is dropping?!?  It's not just because viewers have so many choices.  DVRs can eliminate the "commercial" factor (which actually does contribute to the fiscal problems) but network executives should really take a long hard look in the mirror. Who's in charge there?
