how to connect dvd home theatre

I have two cable box to view different channels, one is asian and other one is virgin cable(ntl). I have bought new sony 5.1 channel dvd home theatre and wanted to connect all to get sound from my home theatre , i do not know how to do it, can anyone please guide me..

Assuming the reciever has enough inputs, it shouldn't any different from connecting one.

What model Sony do you have; and what kind of audio/video outputs do the cable boxes have?
