Dexter Season 3 - Page 4

Re: Dexter Season 3

what a great episode. maybe miguel will kill dex's wife to be out of kraziness? who knows. what'll probably happen is miguel&dex catch george and kill him. then dex kills miguel after that.

i just have to say taht this is one of the best series ever made. i luved every single ep of this series so far. none of them have let me down. even BSG, the one i thought would be the best of 21st century so far, let me down post mid-s2. i never thought i'd say that before i watched this. i was like, serial killer killing others? that's stupid.

Holy cow. This show is roaring to a finale. I had completely not expected this at all. Damn.

Re: Dexter Season 3

O.M.G.! For a season that started off slower, it is headed toward what I believe to be the best season finale ever!
This episode had so much going it was hard to process it all, Dexter is up against his most powerful adversary yet, all the others (I.T.K., Doakes) were nothing compared to Prado. I loved the power struggle between Dexter and Prado, the gloves are off and Prado seems to have won round one.....

Re: Dexter Season 3

Indeed after a slow simmer this season, all the pieces fell into place and Dexter dialed the intensity up to 11.

Two predators circling one another. This will be a great finish for sure.

Re: Dexter Season 3

Wow. This could go so many ways that I'm totally off balance.

The more Quinn comes off as genuine and honest, the more I distrust him.

Supposedly Mr. King has Dexter now (have we seen him driving a Caddy before?) At least Dex doesn't have the disadvantage of not knowing where Freebo is.

In the long odds department, Miguel now has a jealous wife. While it doesn't look like his comeuppance so far, these things have been known to become ugly and violent.

I don't have a clue which ways this show will go, and it's great!

Well OK, I'm pretty sure Dex will not meet his dermal demise, that would really be a problem for the upcoming seasons.

Re: Dexter Season 3

Aside from Miguel and the skinner operating together, we now have Maria in play. We know what a shark she can be from last season, so look out

Re: Dexter Season 3

Wow. I was reserving judgment on this season because it was slower than S1 or 2 (not meant to be a slight as it would have been hard to keep up that pace) and I didn't like the whole baby plot, but it went from 15 mph to over 100 mph very quickly.

Are we to believe that Miguel has been connected to the skinner longer than he has been connected to Dexter? How would he have known where to find the skinner otherwise when King was on the run? If he has known King all along, maybe Dexter didn't introduce Miguel to killing and the lawyer's death is not on his hands? Did Miguel know that the hunt for Freebo as the skinner was wrong? Raises a lot of questions.

If the traffic cameras show Prado's truck, LaGuerta is definitely going straight after him.

Glad to see Dexter's read on Angel as "the guy he would most want to be because he is good" was proved right again.

Re: Dexter Season 3

Yeah, I think the lightbulb went off for Maria as Miguel was pulling out of her driveway. My prediction. Maria pins Ellen's murder on Miguel. Dexter escapes from King, and says that Miguel and King have been working together to find Freebo, and that Miguel had King kidnap Dexter because he found out about it.

Miguel and King in jail, Dexter free, and his secret is safe.

Re: Dexter Season 3

I was also expecting Dexter to find more than one ring in Miguel's cigar case. I guess he really hasn't killed before this. Thought that was going to be the shocker of last night's episode.

No, I think that Miguel hadn't any knowledge of the skinner until that interview at the station. He then had him walk free just so he could keep him as an ace in the hole later..

Maria is definitely the wild card. I think she knows it has to be Miguel.

Best contrast between how people react to crime.

Not a bad tack, but Miguel cannot be allowed to talk to Maria if caught. The eye opening event with the lights is one thing, but what about Dex visiting her prior and hanging the evidence on Miguel? She will think this through with or without Miguel.

Great to see the series finally back in high gear.

Re: Dexter Season 3

Maria confronts Miguel. He kills her. Problem solved. She hasn't been doing much this season anyway and her character has run it's course.

Re: Dexter Season 3

Ooh, just had a thought about the cliffhanger. Will spoilerize it in case it ruins the actual outcome for y'all!

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Dexter was "kidnapped"... for his bachelor party!

Re: Dexter Season 3

i haven't seen ALL of jimmy smits work, but his acting on this series appearance is INCREDIBLE! i think it's his best work!!

my fav. part of this episode is when 'tammy' tells vince his eyes look good, then his creepy laugh, hahaha lol. i die everytime i watch an episode because it is absolutely funny!

phil, that's an interesting theory =).

Re: Dexter Season 3

Philip, I would second that if it were not for the ring, Prado seemed truly unhinged and to include the skinner, naw, not buying it.

My wife and I caught the season of NYPD Blue with Smits illness storyline and we still think that is his best work but this badguy itensity is really giving that a run for first place. I am not used to seeing him as a bad guy but he brings his "A" game for Miguel. Good stuff indeed.

Oh yeah, Masuka, sadly underused this season....

Agreed, they should have let him run double duty as Tang on Chuck this season.

I get the feeling Miguel's wife will be the one who takes Miguel out, which puts a lid on Dex's secrets.

I think it was more so that the Skinner was free so that he and Dexter could take him out, but once the 'friendship' was over, then yeah, Miguel realized he had an ace in the hole.

I agree with those that thought the season started off slow, but is on fire now. I like how Lou put it - "two predators circling each other". That's when the show is at it's finest.

As far as Dexter being kidnapped:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I'm more inclined to think it is the Skinner. There's so much drama to be mined here - Dexter's realization that this is how it is for his targets, remembering how he treated Doakes, etc. The thing I wonder is, would Dexter be able to free himself, or would it be up to Deb/police? In any case, I hope they do a good job with the final Skinner face-off, as I think that'll be the climax for the season - not Miguel. I think someone else was right - his wife will probably take him out. And that would be another piece of drama for Dexter to consider - why he could NEVER tell Rita his secret.

I really hope not because that will be a cheap way out.

Re: Dexter Season 3

This would be an easy way out but aren't all new model trunks required to have a safety release inside the trunk? The car that he was in looked pretty new. They even make them glow in the dark.

He had a bag over his head and hands zip tied. A bit more difficult then. You can't pull it if you can't see anything or use your hands.

Re: Dexter Season 3

Hmm didn't notice the bag with him in the trunk, I thought I saw his face. Oh well.

Re: Dexter Season 3

Dex escaping from the trunk wouldn't be too satisfying. Not when this series has as one of its trademarks, the scenes where Dex confronts serial killers while they lay on the table. They have the potential to do a scene where Dex is the one on the table (or tied in a chair), facing death and being forced to answer questions, beg for his life, fight or give up. That will be compelling tv. Or they could go in some completely different direction and surprise me. They've done it so often (and so well) before.

Re: Dexter Season 3

Yeah Sunday's Ep was Incredible, I've never felt this series had a lull, but I think these last two eps with Dex and Miguel One upping each other have been the finest it has yet to offer, one thing for sure the series never fails to surprise the Hell out of me, the shear inventiveness in the plots to have Dexter get off the Brink of discovery are alway not cheap they are very cleverly devised.

Re: Dexter Season 3

Another out of left field curveball! But I really like the way this went, because it circles us all the way back to the beginning of the season.

Re: Dexter Season 3

Loved the conclusion of Dex's "friendship" and I also loved how he changed up his usual slice and dice method especially for Miguel.

I was practically yelling at the screen "Go ahead, Dex, tell him what you did, that'll really piss him off." with a sly giggle on my part and to my delight he did just that.

I can't wait to see how this season ends!

Re: Dexter Season 3

Wow. This is the rare series that forces you to recognize the talent of everyone involved, especially the writers. Can't wait for next Sunday.

On an unrelated note, I hate the new HTF format.

Re: Dexter Season 3

Awesome episode. Sux there's only one left. I loved the conclusion to his kidnapping. And Miguel on the table - intense.

If it's the skin, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and on the bottom left there is a skin chooser - you can change it.
