Yup. She crosses from the left side of the screen to the right directly behind Marshall. She's wearing an orange wig and a bra consisting of two orange pieces of cloth tricked out as jack'o'lanterns. The lower part of the costume seems to be some gauzy orange material. You can't see her face
at all the way the thing was shot, which I'm sure was deliberate.
I love when shows put little things like that in them - call backs to earlier episodes for one, "easter eggs" that can only be seen if you freeze-frame or watch in slo-mo for another.
I think I'd be happy if they decided to make next season the final one and wrapped up the story while the ratings are still good and the writing still fresh. Too many shows (most, I'd say) hang on for that fatal extra season or two where the writers run out of gas and start repeating themselves, the actors start relying on the same schitck and the audience tunes out until the show is ultimately cancelled. (see
Night Court,
X-Files,
ST:TNG, etc.) This would be especially awful for a show with an over-all arc, like this one.
The momentum built up this season (especially the Robin-Barney stuff) just "feels" like it is moving the show into the home stretch, and I hope the network doesn't force them to stall a natural progression to keep hang onto a timeslot, the way ABC did with
Lost. Besides, they already have enough episodes in the can for syndication, which is usually all the studio worries about, so they're approaching the point of diminishing returns. (Especially if the show costs more to make than the network pays in license fees, which is typically the case.)
What does everybody else think?
