Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

Should Christine Baranski be writing her Best Guest Performance on a Sitcom Emmy speech yet?

When I saw her, I thought "Oh no, another guest spot to take the focus off the characters". But then it was like she has been part of the show from the beginning.

It's certaintly in the running...wow!

I sat on the edge of my seat mouth agaped at the thought that Sheldon was about to score with Leonard's mom lol! My logic told me "no, John, they're talking about something else" but the part of my brain that knew what an Earth shattering moment that would have been couldn't help but go there.

The whole neck licking/kissing thing drove me up a wall.

Very good episode.

Poor Leonard.

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

Really? I was actually gonna say that this may have been one of the weakest of the season. Maybe I'm just resentful that they opted to air BBT instead of my beloved HIMYM but I just thought almost everything about this episode was incredibly cliche'd and predictable. I did like the Sheldon/Leonard's mom relationship though.

Although I suppose Kaley Cuoco in a bra might bump the episode up a little.

Last night's episode was gold. I think it was the best episode yet.

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

I enjoyed how Leonard's mother essentially destroyed everyone she came into contact with. Except Sheldon of course.

The ersatz homosexual marriage to make-up for a lack of intimacy of Howard and Raj was a great line!

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

I kept rewinding to watch Raj singing the Red hot Chili Peppers! That was a riot!

Great episode! All of it!

When we first see Leonards mom, my first reaction was OMG she is just like Sheldon. everytime she said " I have to urinate" I lost it. This epsiode had some great lines. The whole Jar jar binks dialogue was funny. Howard was especially good at the voice.

I have a real problem with this show. It actually makes me laugh so hard I end up with a headache.

Pop a couple of Tylenol about 30 minutes prior.

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

I just had a look at the ratings for this week. BBT got a 8.1/12. I think that has to be this shows best ratings ever. I wonder if that is just because of the temporary time change, or is it really getting more regular viewers?

Since I don't see a 'Numbers' thread, I'll post here that last night's Numbers had a geek infiltrating the jury selection system whose password was 'sheldonleonarda4.'

I noticed that, too!

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

In the "that was kinda cool" department:

In last night's episode, a Flash comic book was held up by Sheldon after coming back from the comic book store, and I happen to see the artist (Brian Stelfreeze) of the cover on a weekly basis at the Gaijin studio's figure drawing class on Tuesdays.

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

I'm kinda surprised they paired up Howard with Leslie. Though it was sweet and well done. I liked that he never makes it with women. The bit in bed was good when Leslie yelled back at Howard's Mom that she was having sex with Howard. And I do like that she's only using him, so perhaps in a way, he still has trouble getting women.

And liked Leonard's line about 1 and 1/2 years of trying. I forget the exact line.

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

CBS should soon announce a two season renewal for this show.

CBS sets deals for 'Men,' 'Bang' - Entertainment News, TV News, Media - Variety

2 more years of this terrific comedy is great news!

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

That is really good news. Big Bang is my favorite show right now and I would love to not have to worry about it going away any time soon.

Leslie in bed with Howard?

I still can't decide which one is more desperate...

This show is still just as strong as ever! The paintball episode was hilarious!

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

Tonights should be another for the books.

Someone at IMDB said something that's so true, that these "nerds" get laid faaar too much lol.

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

Perhaps it was just me but this episode just kind of fell flat. With the guest star I was really expecting something classic.

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

A very weak episode; I had come to think it wasn't possible.

I just couldn't buy Sheldon being a train buff, spouting all that railroad history.

I've never seen the new Terminator series, but I can only hope this Summer Glau person is a better actress than this episode allowed her to be. The few lines she had were barely one or two words. It seemed she was there solely for our nerds to play off of.

On the up side, I did enjoy Penny opening Sheldon's box. "You'll hear a small click." *stomp* "There it is."

I had the same reaction, but I think expectations are at least partly to blame. The idea was hilarious to most of us and the execution did not live up to to the build up.

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

Mondays episode was back to good form. I really liked seeing Sheldon and Penny hanging out. Those two singing work songs and glueing "Penny Blossoms" were a riot!

Did anyone notice anything odd about the boys apartment? It seemed off to me, but I could not quite figure it out. Like something was moved or maybe the kitchen was different. I watched it a few times, but I just can't put my finger on it.
