Not to sound like a broken record but I am always in constant amazment at how Jim gets those rapid-fire science-laden shpeels out of his mouth without getting tongue tied beyond beliefe!

I wonder how many takes it took to get some of his stuff out right this week lol.

While I like Krypkie I would prefer it if they used him sparingly, his constant presence could become, like Stephanie, intrusive to the group.

The sight of Sheldon just going limp and hanging suspended in the air will be with me for a long time and is the anti Tom Cruise suspended from the harness in Mission: Impossible.

As for comedies, this show has moved up there with King of Queens and Friends, for me anyway. All three are shows I can watch repeatedly and still laugh in the same spots.

King of Queens isn't bad either. Not a fan of freinds though.

How can any best comedy series of all time not include Seinfeld, All In The Family, Mary Tyler Moore show and Cheers to name a few is beyond me unless your 15 years old?

Agreed, RickGr, i'm also partial to The Honeymooners, Three's Company and (one that never gets the respect it deserves) Sledge Hammer!.

Also, and I made a point to put this one in a sentence all by itself because it's in a class all by itself...Mystery Science Theater 3000. I know they show movies but it was indeed a comedy series so I think it qualifies.

I've lost gallons of tears over the years laughing uncontrollably at that show.

MST3k has moments that still kill me, and fits in so well with fans of Big Bang - just the same kind of audience

I'd have to throw in Carol Brunnet Show, I Love Lucy & Bewitched.

But "Big Bang" and "How I Met Your Mother" are right now, along with "30 Rock" the ones I enjoy most currently airing

There is an interview with Parsons where he speaks about having an amazing talent for memorization. He said all that science speak means nothing to him.

Right, he's said that in one of his interviews with Craig Ferguson if I recall correctly, I was mainly wondering how he can physically say that stuff without getting tripped up lol.

He must have amazing talent for talking, too hehe.

Damn I want to see a gag reel from this show!

Along with MTM I'd also have to throw in the Dick Van Dyke Show, one of the best-written and acted sitcoms in TV history, and still watchable today. (Personally I can't watch shows like All in the Family or Maude anymore. What made them "relevant" 30 years ago makes them shrill, annoying and horribly dated today. Nothing evaporates more quickly than topical comedy. Humor about timeless things like work and family and men and women lasts. Humor about today's headlines doesn't, because even the people who lived through the time won't remember half of the references and won't care anymore about another third of them.)

How do ya feel about a cop who talks to his 44. Magnum like a person, ties criminals to his car and drags them around the parking lot, forces a scumbag, at gunpoint, to beat himself up so he won't be charged with police brutality and who's idea of talking down a sniper located on a rooftop is to use a bazooka (that he keeps in his trunk) to level the building?

I watched a few more interviews on youtube with Parsons and I must say he is a very likable guy.

For me, best shows would include Seinfeld, the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, I love Lucy, The Cosby Show.

For the trek fans, a story appears today on Trekmovie.com that for the Christmas episode, Leonard Nimoy really did sign the napkin Sheldon got from Penny.

It's being auctioned off for charity, pretty cool! Wonder if it really has his DNA on it. Here's a link to the story:

I didn't watch this show from the start, but I'm hooked now, it's a great show. This is the first sitcom in a long time that I've started watching regularly.

The opening scene in this episode was by far one of the funniest. Sheldons reaction to the "only possible option" was great! I liked that they brought back Kurt and made plenty of references to past episodes (check engine light, Kurt depantsing the boys, Raj's nervous bladder).

" But if you ever need some quick cash, there are a couple of fifties in green lanterns ass"

Good episode. Lots of laughs in this one.

I enjoyed the episode as well. I only really got into the show in mid first season and saw most S1 shows in reruns.

Is it me, or has Sheldon's character become more and more "alien". I mean he's written in a way these days like he's playing Spock and not being familiar of normal human interactions. I realize that's part of the fun and humor.

Well, Sheldon is sort of alien like. He showed high intelligence at such a young age and didn't really socialize with other kids his age. So I think when you see things like last night for example when Penny runs into his apartment and listens through the door and he says " what are you doing and can you explain so I know how to proceed", it's just Sheldon being Sheldon. He isn't to schooled on social behavior.

Can anyone point me back to a previous episode that mentioned Raj being nervous triggered his bladder? I just recently watched the first season on DVD and I don't remember seeing that. It almost seemed like it was shoehorned into this episode.

And I guess Leonard's Dr. girlfriend is officially gone. I would have expected some sort of resolution on that storyline.

Good episode though. Penny's seeing Leonard more and more as a friend, and he's, unbeknownst to her, trying to be her hero.

I actually wouldn't care if they never mentioned Stephanie again, just letting it drop doesn't bother me one bit.

Loved this episode, no one can ever say that Sheldon is greedy or selfish to someone in need.

The way he just, without question or hesitation, allowed Penny to borrow as much cash as she needed was probably the most generous and, for Sheldon, touching thing he's ever done lol.

Penny made a big mistake at the end by going back with that knuckle-dragging neanderthal Kurt, Leonard really should have went to her and told her what he did, not to take credit for it but to save her from a future heartache when that prick hurts her again.

I think Penny's character MO is that she'll always gravitate toward the wrong guy, maybe she'll grow out of that and into Leonard at some point, as far as Stephanie goes I think the producers realized they made a mistake with her, she disrupted the group dynamic. I think even if they make Sara Gilbert's character a regular like they are stating thwy will , she'll just be the group's female nerd (and Thorn for Sheldon) and not upset the dynamic of the group.

Given how Penny reacted (over-reacted) to owing money to Sheldon even though he didn't even mention it. I would bet she would be very upset if or when she finds out that Leonard went to the old boy friend to tell him to pay her back. This might be yet another thing poor Leonard does that backfires.

Putting myself in Leonard's shoes for a moment, as a friend I wouldn't care if she got upset with me if it meant saving her from the frustration of another round of heartache when Kurt proved to be the dick that he is once again.

I'd deal with her anger towards me, which i'm sure with a little time would blow over, if it meant sparing her even deeper pain.
