My knowledge of HT is nil; I would like to have a “plug and play” system for a 32” Sony TV in my living room (measures 12’ x 17’). I would like a system compatible with local cable system, easy to set up, DVD player/recorder and wireless speakers for the back of the room. I won’t be having in depth discussions with my brother in law on whose system is more powerful. I just want a reliable system for my family to enjoy while watching TV and movies. Price range is $500; any input will be greatly appreciated.
