Ryan Adams And The Cardinals Cardinology Track Listing:

1. Born Into A Light
2. Go Easy
3. Fix It
4. Magick
5. Cobwebs
6. Let Us Down Easy
7. Crossed Out Name
8. Natural Ghost
9. Sink Ships
10. Evergreen
11. Like Yesterday
12. Stop

This guy has GOT to be one of the hardest working guys in music, constantly churning out quality music at an alarming rate. This one was just sprung on the RA fan base this past week and also contained news that there's also a solo Ryan Adams album in the hopper as well.

That box set of finished-but-unreleased albums is in the works too but I'd have to say that after he put out "Cold Roses", "Jacksonville City Nights" and "29" all in the same year he's become a lot less prolific. Granted, these days it's not uncommon for big names to milk an album for 3 or 4 years but a year and a half between albums with an EP in between isn't really that impressive, but then again he could put albums out monthly like a magazine and I'd buy every one.

Yeah, Man, I hear ya there...while I LOVE Cold Roses, I never put on JCN or 29. I have thoroughly enjoyed Easy Tiger though, it's excellent. Yep, me too, I'd buy any of his stuff as well.

So, I presume the box set will include "Suicide Handbook"???

I think "Suicide Handbook" is supposed to be on there but the whole thing is pretty tentative. I remember it was said to be ready for last year's Holiday season and now with a new album coming in October I'm not holding my breath for it to be released by the end of this year.

As for "Jacksonville City Nights" and "29" I think "JCN" is my least-favorite Adams disc (which was pretty disappointing after "Cold Roses", which is arguably my favorite, but I do love "Dear John") but I really love "29".

Not looking too good on the boxed set, Bill...straight from RA's blog, http://cave.cardinology.com/ :

"That boxed set- man, it just wasn’t right for me right now. I am SO invested in being in the CARDINALS. and I just want to say this right now, so people understand, the hardcore CARDINALS fans out there..."

Good news, the new single "Fix It" was released to radio and is on sale at iTunes as of today. I've, ahem, procured a copy and I have to say, BRAVO, another excellent RA & TC track!

After hearing the entire new album, I've gotta say that it's yet another fine effort by Mr. Adams and his band. For me, it's another one of those, "slap it on and let it ride" CDs perfectly tailored for country drives in the fall. There seems to be something for everyone, be it a garage rocker, a U2-ish anthem, country tinged songs of faith, it's all here and it's all done well.
