Re: Stocking up on Horror Movies

Now I know why I couldn't find the thread from last year when I was looking. I was looking in the SD DVD - Film and Documentary section.

Re: Stocking up on Horror Movies

I placed an order this morning through a few different horror sales this month and really stocking up on some horror for our marathon. I am afraid I might of went a little overboard though. But when you can buy them as low as $3.99 how can you help yourself?

Most of these are complete Blind Buys.

  2. The Abominable Dr. Phibes/Dr. Phibes Rises Again
  3. Amityville Dollhouse
  4. Borderland
  5. Campfire Tales
  6. Cemetery Man
  7. Chopping Mall
  8. The Curse of Lizzie Borden
  9. The Descent
  10. Diary of the Dead
  11. Halloween III: Season of the Witch
  12. The Haunting (Original)
  13. Heroes of Horror
  14. Lost Boys: The Tribe
  15. The Mist
  16. Mulberry St.
  17. Night Scream
  18. Nightmare Man
  19. The Nurse
  20. Pulse
  21. Reincarnation
  22. Ring Around the Rosie
  23. Saw IV
  24. Tooth and Nail
  25. Unearthed
Like I said... I went a little overboard... but couldn't help myself. Hopefully I won't be too disappointed in any of them.

I thought I would bump this thread I made last year to see what people think of the horror I recently bought or or planning on buying for this year's Horror marathon. Pretty much everything I bought or am planning on buying is all Blind Buys.

Already Bought:
- April Fool's Day (Remake)
- Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
- Angel Heart
- Brotherhood of Blood
- The Hunger: The Complete First Season
- Blood Ties: Season 1
- Criss Angel: Mindfreak: Halloween Special
- Mortuary of Madness: 50 Movie Set (Cheap Low Budget Horror)
Which Contains:
1. Abe's Tomb
2. Alucard
3. Amped
4. Apocalypse Rising
5. Bimbos B.C.
6. Black Ribbon
7. Blood Bound
8. Blood Stained Bride
9. A Bothered Conscience
10. Brainiac
11. Branded
12.Cadaverella
13. Creepy Clips
14. Curse of the Pirate Death
15. Curse of the Wolf
16. Dark Light
17. Dark Places
18. This Darkness
19. Dead Teenagers
20. Drawing Blood
21. Edgar Allen Poe's Darkness
22. The Expedition
23. Fear of the Dark
24. Feral
25. Fist of the Vampire
26. The Great American Snuff Film
27. Hell's Threshold
28. Home Made
29. I Dream of Dracula
30. Immortal
31. The Innocent
32. Into Thy Hands
33. Kill Syndrome
34. Killer Story
35. Knight Chills
36. Mrs. Amworth
37. Nutcracker: An American Nightmare
38. Planet Blood
39. Pony Trouble
40. Puppet Show
41. Sabbath
42. Sickness House
43. Silent Bloodnight
44. Sinners
45. The Slasher
46. Super Hell
47. Super Hell 2
48. The Vampire Conspiracy
49. Vampire Whores from Outer Space
50. A Vampire Tale
No... Of course I do not expect nothing from any of the titles in that 50 movie boxset. I basically just got it for laughs since it was so cheap.

Planned Next Order:
- The Orphanage
- The Haunting in Connecticut
- The Uninvited
- House by the Cemetery
- Blood Reaper
- Duel
- Bloody Birthday
- Black Christmas (original)
- Fear Itself: Season 1
- Visitors of the Night
- Embryo
- Legacy of Blood
- The Substitute (Ghost House Underground)
- Autopsy (After Dark Horrorfest)
- The Val Lewton Horror Collection
Which Includes:
- Cat People
- Return of the Cat People
- Isle of the Dead
- The Leopard Man
- The Seventh Victim
- The Body Snatcher
- I Walked with Zombies
- Bedlam
- Ghost Ship
- Shadows in the Dark

So... that should give me plenty of new horror to dig into through-out all of next month. So what you say... is there any thoughts on my picks? Are you adding anything good to your collection this year? As I said... for the most part... all of the above is blind buys. I maybe seen 2 or 3 of them before... at the most.

I think that Val Lewton set is gold especially if you like older horror movies. Duel (I assume you're talking about the Speilberg movie) is another winner in my mind.

Thanks Travis... yes the Duel I am talking about is the Speilberg movie. That one and the Val Lewton set was both recommended to me by a friend on another board.
