Yes! It's on this DVD:

Amazon.com: Laurel & Hardy and Friends (Featuring "Our Gang"): Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, Charley Chase, Thelma Todd, Frances Bowling, Henry Brandon, Tom Braunger, Bill Cody Jr., John 'Uh huh' Collum, Gino Corrado, Wilma Cox, Patsy Currier, Gordon Do

The only issue with that short is -- the opening M-G-M intro seems to be tacked on from a different film. It has the audio of the lion roaring as opposed to the musical fanfare heard at the beginning of other shorts of the era. But yes, the lines cut from other versions are there.

EDIT: I just got the new Genius set (good deal at Amazon) and I was right -- the M-G-M lion intro should have the music fanfare and not the roaring sounds. (Now does that make any sense at all?) It was interesting to see how over time, some shorts have the roaring over the fanfare, until the fanfare goes away and it's just the sound of the lion roaring.

I still wonder what's up with those "silent lion" intros on certain shorts (certain Laurel & Hardy shorts have it that way too). I wonder if that has something to do with sound and picture elements having been stored separately somewhere along the line, or the various theatrical and TV re-releases.

I am glad I sprung for the set (though with the problems, I wasn't going to spend $60 for it). No, it's not perfect. But I guess I'm the kind of person who pays more attention to what's there, rather than what's not there. After all, I have some of the "botched" shorts on other DVDs, and I have them all on VHS. Somewhere.

Re: Genius Press Release: The Little Rascals: The Complete Collection

I finally caved in and picked this one up under the new low price on Amazon. Actually I had a $25 off gift card from another promotion so I got the whole set for under $14. I haven't watched it yet, but initial impression was not a good one: when I opened the set, everything inside was upside-down (the flap holding the booklet was upside-down, the words and pictures were upside-down relative to the front cover). I have purchased over 500 DVDs and I must say this is the first one I've ever had where the labeling on the inside was not in synch with the labeling on the outside! Doesn't say much about Genius' quality control...

Re: Genius Press Release: The Little Rascals: The Complete Collection

So now that folks have had this set for a couple of months what's the final verdict? I've watched all the shorts thru disc 4 now and must say I'm having a great time! Believe it or not I've never seen any of these before this so have nothing else to compare them to except the Laurel and Hardy films done a Roach around the same time and the majority of these look much better than the L&H films...

Thoughts?

can someone please answer this question? as I am curious for the answer as well. thanks.

I assumed the question was a joke? Could someone do days of work for nothing? If he's got both sets, why doesn't he do it?

It is not on the 2008 Genius set nor, dare I say, the 2011 single disc reissue (I will be getting it in on Monday and will double check then).

Farina: "Come on. Let's get going. Come on, Mule!"

That line is intact on the MGM laserdisc set.
