What are you listening to right now? - Page 44

Genesis - Invisible Touch. Not crazy about the title track and a couple of others. Not that they're bad, just not crazy about them. Domino and The Brazilian more than make up for it though. The whole disc also sounds kind of high pitched, almost harsh, compared to most other things I listen to. Strange.

Amen brother, amen. I recall when that album was released everyone loved the "popular" tracks from that album, but those two tracks really keep bringing me back to that album.

I still really enjoy Invisible Touch, but count me in as one who is also a big fan of those two tracks.

Mendelssohn's Piano Trios 1 and 2--Julia Fischer (violin) Jonathan Gilad (piano) and Daniel Muller-Schott (cello) on MCH SACD.

i'm using my PS3 for SACD playback, now that I've got an AVR with HDMI inputs. This allowed me to move my venerable Marantz DV6400 SACD/DVD-A player to my living room for 2 channel all-around "shiny disc" audio duties (it does not have HDMI output, dating, as it does, from 2003). I now have SACD and DVD-A playback in the HT (where MCH prevails) and in my living room 2 channel rig (recently set up with the acquisition of a pair of PSB Imagine Bs, hooked up to my former HT AVR and the Marantz). I enjoy the greater flexibility and the seriously improved sound in the living room.

A Death Cab for Cutie playlist on youtube. It is really chilled out, although pretty depressing if you listen to the lyrics! I like lots of acousticy music, but they combine it with some electric guitars too. My favourite songs are Brothers on a Hotel Bed and Passenger Seat.

Based on a suggestion, just started listening to Leonard Cohen's newest "Old Ideas", great suggestion from a friend.   "Going Home" "Amen" "Show Me The Place" "Darkness" "Crazy To Love You"  Just some incredible numbers here.

Just finished Relaxin' with the Miles Davis Quintet (SACD). Was trying my player in DSD mode to the AVR rather than having it convert to PCM in the player. Made no difference in sound that I could tell (just the front panel display showed "DSD" instead of "PCM"). Either way, it's a great performance from an outstanding collection of talent.

I recently did some mods on my HT setup. Recently started going through my 5.1 music collection.
Today's selection is the SACD of The Moody Blues' Seventh Sojourn. It's quad. I think I like the DTS version better, but it's still a nice listen.

Van Halen's OU812. It's a better album than I remember---it's quite good actually and I still love "When It's Love."
