Projector: JVC-DLA-HD1 and Screen

Hi all, one of many posts. Please check out my other posts in other sections and offer feedback if you can. Would very much appreciate it, lots of great information on this forum.

Background: I am building a new home which is a walkout and we are finishing the basement and are putting a projection home theater in. The room with have blackout blinds to light control. The room size is open concept 32 long X 15 wide. Plan to use majority of room (18 X 15) for the home theater and the other have will be bar, siting, etc.

The more I deal with a home theater store/designer the more I am thinking I want to do most of it myself. Please check my other posts in the hardware sections and offer feedback on what they are trying to sell me vs what you think I may actually need.

The projector I have been looking at is the JVC-DLA-RSx1 or RS2... has anyone used this projector and offer and feedback on how it works on low/mid light levels? Or does it need extreme dark?

The screen the guy is trying to sell me is the Da-Lite Da-Snap Matte White. Any feed back on this screen, hard to find review of it? Any other suggestions, I hear a lot about the Stewart Firehawk?

Save yourself the time and go for the Carada. It is pretty much the best bang for buck screen out there and the bevel frame is way better than what youre looking at. The HD1 is plenty bright even with low level lights on. I view mine in the dark though I have had my lights on and the PQ was still awesome. You'll love it, it throws a fantastic pic. I have mine mounted with Chief Mount RPAU. Also check out Lutron Spacer System for your lighting control.

What Carada screen would you suggest, low contract grey, bright white gain 1.4? Assuming the JVC projector.

Room is part of a walkout basement with large windows, however, will have blackout blinds. For movie watching expect to have low light, but if watching normal TV/Sports some light is expected.
