Wow. Exciting news, but I already have it on DVD-Audio. I'd love to see some other albums though (and lower prices ).

Thanks for the info. I own most of their albums on vinyl, and a few (Pictures At an Exhibition, Tarkus, and Trilogy) on CD. Their music (particularly K. Emerson's keyboard parts) was some of the most challenging I had to learn when I was in High School.

LOL--I just realized I originally wrote 'DVD' as opposed to CD.

Re: Emerson Lake & Palmer SACD pre-order on Amazon.com

Of course, I'm excited about any classic rock releases on SACD, since SACD has been on life support and DVD-A is in a state of rigor mortis.

So now we have ELP BSS and BS Paranoid on our way. I think that's great news.

I am a little stunned at the cost of these items. Yes, they are multi-disk sets, but are we to expect future releases to average 40.00 and more?

I'm OK w/ MOFI reissues at 25.00 per pop (dislike the packaging, though).

Bob Irwin's excellent Jefferson Airplane remasters will only set you back about 10.00 per issue. The same goes for Andy Pearce's ELP (Shout Factory) remasters (I'm only interested in s/t, Trilogy, Tarkus, & BSS).

If BSS and Paranoid mark a trend, it's going to cost a lot to fill out our collections of classic rock.
