I would be satified if Monday's show were the last maybe thats were it should've ended, If Next week's turns out to be a cliffhanger and they are axed then it will definately be uunsatisfying. Am I the only guy hoping Leno Bombs at 10pm...

As I said on the last page, "I'm also not secretly hoping Leno Primetime is a huge bomb."

I'm 100% hoping Leno bombs. Then again, I generally hate Leno.

Jam packed episode. Maybe too much so. Great moments throughout.

Count me in as well.

I really liked the last show and am looking forward to next week's show to see how it will all end.

I'm not a Leno hater but I also want the show to fail.

Re: Chuck season 2

5 nights of Leno is overkill. Cannot stand his show or his humor. Would much rather have intelligent, well written scripted shows instead of reality, variety or newsmagazine shows. No Leno, no Leno, no Leno... .

Need more Chuck.

Doug

This weeks episode was awesome.

Re: Chuck season 2

Jeesh, enough enough with the Leno bashing people. If you want to bash him, make a new thread or something.

NBC can't even fill 2 hours a night with quality shows. I don't think it is fair to assume that just because Leno is going to 5 nights at 10pm, this spells doom for Chuck.

Besides, if you are all so sure Leno is bad, he wont make it past the summer anyway.

Isn't the whole reason he is even getting a show at all because it's some sort of contractual obligation on the part of NBC? I'm not up to speed on all things Leno, so I'm just going from something I remember reading.

Either way, I really hope Chuck is renewed for a third season - it's one of the few shows that, in my opinion, perfectly balances action, humour, and humanity. There is an honesty to the show that is missing from the bulk of today's programming.

I walk away from every Chuck episode feeling genuinely entertained. That's something I can't say for a lot of shows.

Seems to me that crap shows tend to get renewed for decades, while quality programming never attracts an audience and is fortunate to last an entire season.

Not really. From what I understand, they gave Conan the Tonight Show in order to keep him around. I assume they thought Leno would retire gracefully after that, but he wasn't ready to, and rather than letting him go to another network, they figured a 10pm show would make more sense.

Re: Chuck season 2

We finally were able to see this past week's episode. MY son was thinking it was the season finale all throughout. It would have made a good season finale. As many of us have mentioned, I'll really hope that NBC will consider having series for shorter seasons sharing time slots. I think that may be the only way that Chuck could survive. NBC has already announced (or leaked?) that Heroes will be only 18-20 episodes. If they start Heroes in January or February I wouldn't mind seeing Chuck share that time slot and just air in the first half of the season. A shorter season would definitely be better than nothing.

I too thought the same thing in that episode would have served quite well for a series finale to wrap things up. However, I would have liked to see Chuck and Sarah finally get together for real and her become the domestic wife she is really longing to be. Also tie up Allie and Awesome at the wedding with Sarah catching the bouquet toss.

It was nice too the way Morgan wrapped up things and him and Chuck could've said goodbye with him going to go for his dreams along with Chuck finally getting his dream.

All told, just a little more detail and this would be a great finally if it were 2 hours and have the show end in style that actually satisfied the viewers.

In terms of Leno, haven't watched him or Dave in years. Even the Daily Show has grown old with me. It's just the same tired jokes and skits over and over. The "interviews" are all rehearsed and there is no originality to any of them and I could care less.

Zachary Levi goes to Subway

Better, HD version and how cool is it that Zach is actually helping the people out? That was extremely nice.

Save Chuck!

Oh, and my wife and I and 3 large kidlets will all be sitting down to watch Chuck with a delicious sub sandwich. Will it actually do any good? Probably not. But I have to try. (And I've already written the network asking they keep Chuck around.)

If only they could've had Yvonne helping while wearing the Weinerlicious outfit.

Re: Chuck season 2

So, I made a break from my routine of House>24>Chuck to watch the finale live...

I love the show, (and guessed how the last minute would play out after they were trapped), but honestly wouldn't be all that disappointed if that was the end. It wasn't nearly as horrible a cliffhanger as I was expecting based on that article.

In fact, I almost feel like the Chuck doing kung fu scene at the end would make a new season TOO over the top ridiculous, but I'd of course love to see them have a chance anyway.

Re: Chuck season 2

Awesome finale.

Definitely leaves room for some extreme possibilities in a third season.

Excellent episode.

I wouldn't really classify that as a cliffhanger. No one's life is on the line; we just don't get to see Chuck's full potential if this is all we get. I'm happy.

Re: Chuck season 2

It would have been funnier if he said "I know Chuck-Fu" at the end.

Re: Chuck season 2

If that is how it ends, I'll always feel a little empty inside that Chuck never got to nail Sarah.

JEFFSTER were awesome.

Re: Chuck season 2

Jeffster was awesome, but while you can download the ideas, downloading physical skill is kind of.. eh.

I don't know where you go with this now that won't be insanely ridiculous.

I agree. We got emotional closures on all of the key storylines, most importantly being that Chuck got to choose whether to download the newer, better Intersect or not. No one tricked him or forced him this time. As for transmitting skill sets; if the Matrix can do it, so can the Intersect. Obviously, an untrained body is less effective than a trained body that had to earn those skillsets. But with moves that kickass, it doesn't matter.

I'm really glad the show leaped past the point of no return, new season or not.

Re: Chuck season 2

This was one of the better season finales I've seen in a long time. Good action sequences, good music, good emotional resonance.

Re: Chuck season 2

I recall the pilot was pretty good, but the second episode (vs. the helicopter) was quite bad. But the rest of season one was decent. This season has been much better, and these last two episodes have been really good.

That would have conflicted with "Chuck me", which is a better Chuck-ism; and having a direct callback to The Matrix works a little better.

Re: Chuck season 2

These two episodes were thoroughly entertaining and awesome (I think tonight's was a birthday present for Lou Sytsma) I felt my spirits being lifted the entire time I watched it. Just a big grin from the beginning until Ellie under the sprinklers, and then a more serious (but still fun) vibe from there on out. The new intersect effect was cool, and--if we're lucky enough for them to follow through on the "To Be Continued" promise--I hope his Intersect-given skills will be augmented with real training. I don't know how or if they'll keep the Buy More stuff--I hope they do keep the characters, but that Chuck doesn't have another apparent setback that lands him back there--but I think it could be a fresh show with another season.

Anyway, the entire run was pretty much great. If this is it, the show acquitted itself admirably. I hope Yvonne will land somewhere that I want to watch.

Re: Chuck season 2

The season finale was fantastic! I had a hunch how they might have ended it but was still smiling like a kid on Christmas day at the end. This is probably the only show (other than maybe MythBusters) where I have a smile on my face every episode. I like the show for what it is, a fictional 1 hour story.

Viva la Jeffster!

Edit: Oh yeah, and the music. They used the music really well.

Edit #2: And I forgot about this line. When I heard it I was like huh, did I just hear........LOL!!!!! "Why are you letting Sam Kinison and an Indian lesbian ruin this wedding?"

Re: Chuck season 2

1. Jeffster rocks!
2. Fantastic episode.
3. NBC, if you kill Chuck I'll never forgive you.

Need I say more?

They could shift the staff to Morgan's restaurant with him blissfully unaware that it's a "Front" establishment.
