Amazon.co.uk is showing a Pathe Distribution release of "House of Flying Daggers" to be released on 10/06/08...is this a new and "improved" pressing as compared to the Sony (I believe) version already available?

...I was hoping that this new release via Pathe would be of a better quality than the present Sony version (which appears not to have been a success)...

...good!...yes, I believe that the Sony pressing was supposed to be terrible...I like the film and was hoping that it would reappear in a better presentation...

I'd love to buy this as well but heard the current Blu is horrible so I've avoided it.

I just bought it recently and yes it is horrible but I paid only $13.00. If they re release it with better PQ, I would buy it. Great movie!

...I guess we'll just have to wait and see if the new Pathe presentation is just that and not a rehash of the Sony version...

I thought Blu fans were against imports cause their a waste of $$$!!! ;-)

Super glad too hear this. If it is indeed improved; it puts that much more pressure to raising the PQ for ALL releases.
