(August 11, 2008) – Academy Award® winner Cuba Gooding, Jr. (Best Supporting Actor, Jerry Maguire, 1997) stars in the action-packed gang thriller Linewatch, debuting on DVD October 21 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Gooding stars as a U.S. Border Patrol Officer who must return to his brutal street ways in order to protect his family from a vicious gang leader out to smuggle drugs across the Mexican border. The cast, under the direction of Kevin Bray (Walking Tall, All About the Benjamins) from a screenplay by David W. Warfield (Ocean Park), also features Evan Ross (ATL, Pride) and Sharon Leal (Dreamgirls, This Christmas). Linewatch includes a making of featurette and is priced to own at $24.96 SRP.
SYNOPSIS:
Academy Award® Winner Cuba Gooding, Jr. is a Border Patrol Officer in the New Mexico desert with a secret past that is about to catch up with him. When his old gang leader tracks him down and forces him to smuggle drugs across the border, he must choose between the life he swore to leave behind and saving his family at any cost. Omari Hardwick, (The Guardian, Gridiron Gang), Sharon Leal (This Christmas, Dreamgirls), and Evan Ross (ATL, Pride), co-star in this hard-hitting thriller that pushes the action over the line.
Linewatch was directed by Kevin Bray from a screenplay by David W. Warfield. The film was produced by Brad Krevoy, Reuben Liber and Karri O’Reilly and co-produced by Mike Callaghan.
