Optica to digital convertor.

Short of an optical input on my amp until the next upgrade. I have a spare digital coax input available so I am thinking of using a TOSLink Optical to Digital Coaxial SPDIF convertor box Has anyone used one of these? If so, do they do the business?

I used one on a friend's system. Looked exactly like this one - link. It passed the data fine and the receiver would decode Dolby Digital and DTS without issues.

You could also use this as a short term solution. As long as only one source component is turned on at a time it will do the trick. Plus, it's cheap.
