This does not make much sense as both the Criterion disc and the HD-DVD seem to be derived from the same master, but the Universal HD-DVD has completely mistimed colors, both are approximately 2.2:1.
If Universal went back to the 65mm restoration negative they would also have arrrived at the same aspect ratio and even if they went back to the OCN or what remains of it the aspect ratio could not be wider than 2.25:1. So I guess this is just a typo.
