If I recall, someone posted info about this one in the other R66 thread here. The poster reported that Infinity didn't re-master the original S1V1 episodes. The S1V2 episodes have been fixed (remade to 4:3 AR) according to the post.
I had to pass on this release since the S1V1 set wasn't remastered.

Chas, the aspect ratio has been corrected for episodes 16-30, but episodes 1-15 are the same mixed bag of mostly poor quality prints that were contained in the Season 1, Vol. 1 release. "A Fury Slinging Flame" is still missing about 5 minutes. Sorry to report this. If the second season is released, hopefully Roxbury/Infinity will do better.Re: Route 66 Season-ONE 8/5/08 any reviews?
Thanks for the replies! They should have an exchange program for the second half of season one! This is ludicrous. Is there a telephone number for this company where I can call someone in charge?
thanks all!

Here's the TSoD story about a possible exchange program, including the phone number for Infinity ...
