As Mick Jagger put it:

"It's the only Scorsese film that doesn't feature "Gimme Shelter".

Not that it stopped me from placing an order.

Can't wait for Tuesday.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see this in IMAX so I'm highly anticipating the Blu-Ray. Picture and sound quality should be off the charts for this one. Can't wait for Tuesday!!!

I will be picking this up tomorrow especially with Roberts thumbs up on this title.

7/29 update: Just purchased this title today and it looks great and sound very good as well. The audio is just like being there in person as both DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby True HD both sound great. The Dolby True HD track is it typical DN done to it and that is corrected by turning up the volume.

I didn't have time to watch the entire disc last night, but I watched large parts of it (love the performance of Satisfaction and the funny closing shot). It ain't Imax, but it's a lot closer than I would have imagined possible in the home theater. Great disc, great concert film.

P.S. As noted by RAH below, the film wasn't shot in Imax, but one can't discount the impact of seeing this film projected on an Imax screen. It's beautifully suited to the scope and scale. It's simply a more involving experience, as if you were sitting at the edge of the concert stage.

For the record, although SaL was exhibited in IMAX, it was not photographed in IMAX.
