Kino: The Man of the Eiffel Tower (restored)

Thread Starter
Kino is releasing the first non PD DVD incarnation of The Man on the Eiffel Tower (49) on Sept. 16th.

Quote:
The Man on the Eiffel Tower was photographed on ANSCO Reversal film, an early single strip color process, and no original elements exist today. The film has been preserved from two nitrate projection prints, the only 35mm color copies known to survive. It's been restored by UCLA Film & Television Archive in collaboration with the Library of Congress.

EDIT: I clumsily wrote OF the Eiffel Tower instead of ON in the thread title. Can one of the admins change this? Sorry!

Great news! I never thought we'd get a decent version of this on home video.

The restored edition (according to one review on amazon.co.uk) has also been released in the UK.

Re: Kino: The Man of the Eiffel Tower (restored)

September 16th has come and gone and I see no release of The Man on The Eiffel Tower from Kino. DeepDiscount says.. Will ship directly from manufactuer. Amazon says.. will email when avaiable. There is NOTHING on Kino's website about the title! Has this dvd been delayed, canceled or withdrawn for some reason? I sent an email to Kino, but no response as of yet.

Anyone have any inside information on this title?

Thanks
