Sony/Classic Media's "Gangsters Guns & Floozies: Classic Crime Collection"...

It appears to be "discontinued by the studio" aka out of print.

I never got around to picking up this set and so I'm wondering if it is now worth tracking down while I can still find it, and if the transfers of T-Men and Raw Deal are way better than the VCI singles releases of these noir titles?

Is there any other domestic or overseas release for Let Em Have It as well?

All of the five films are a disappointment. The transfers are shoddy, aspect ratios (I, Mobster & Pretty Boy Floyd) are cropped - even Let Em Have It is cropped on the left side.

Run, don't walk, away from this set.

If you can still find it for a reasonable price, the best versions of T-Men and Raw Deal are still on the Roan set.

Thanks for steering me away, Mike!

The Roan transfers really improve upon the semi-recent VCI discs?

Surprising... but I'll certainly hunt 'em down if that's the case.

I believe the Roan set predates the VCI releases. The Roan transfers were sourced from 35mm prints and to my eyes still look the best. The VCI's aren't poor mind you, they just have slightly more contrast. Although I don't have the French set (Wild Side), judging from Beaver's captures here, the Roans don't appear either as washed out or blurry.

I know these were independent cheapie "poverty row" productions... but who actually owns the rights and/or elements to these features?

Where do the Edward Small films lie in distribution today?

Also, does anyone know if any of the studio's other matinée b-westerns are available on DVD?
