Re: Welcome Bill!

Welcome Bill. Glad you're with us here at the forum. Funny thing is, I thought you already were? Take Care.

Hi, Bill!

Nice to see you over here!

Re: Welcome Bill!

Thanks to Ron, Parker and all of you guys! It's nice to be here, although you're right Troy... I've been a member here for a LONG time already.

I'm happy to participate in this 'official' insiders thread as I'm able. I'm notoriously busy, and I'll probaby disappear from time to time, but I'll do my best to pop in at least once every couple of days to answer a few questions.

Just know that if I DO disappear occasionally, no slight is intened.

So feel free to start asking questions and/or saying what's on your mind, and I'll chime in as I can. Best to all of you and thanks again for the kind welcome!

Thanks, Crawdaddy. I didn't do much more than get to the bottom of the confusion, but it's nice to be the bearer of good news at least. I'm still waiting to hear back on Speed Racer and Risky Business, so we'll see.

Re: Welcome Bill!

Bill:

You mentioned on thedigitalbits the other day that :

"Warner is absolutely aware of all your concerns over this (I expressed them directly to the studio myself, and Warner has been monitoring the discussion groups as well), and they asked me to let everyone know that they get it, they understand the concerns and they're 100% committed to quality on Blu-ray"

How would you characterize their "reaction" to some of the flak and input they've been receiving? Was this an eye opener and suprise to them in the sence that they felt they've been giving 100% and doing an excellent job?

Or do they grudgingly admit/acknowledge there was room for improvement?

Re: Welcome Bill!

i think Ron wants separate topics for questions.
from first post.

this thread to do so. If you have any questions, please start a new
thread topic."

Re: Welcome Bill!

Bill, I suppose this is my official welcome to you, though you've been a valuable member and resource for the HT community for many years now. It was a pleasure meeting you all those years ago at David Tolsky's house for an HTF meet. I hope we cross paths again in the future. Your site is still one of the few that I go to regularly (though I never seem to win any of those dang prizes!)

I think it's more a matter of everyone at the studio getting their ducks lined up properly and marching in the same direction. I believe they know what quality is and I believe they "get it."
