so i updated to 3.0 and now i see a very different firefox.

gmail has changed fonts and i can't figure out how to change to the font i like.
the side scroll bar has disappeared.

overall it just doesn't look right to what i'm used to, especially the side bar having vanished.
what i'm seeing looks more the way safari looks with all the round buttons.

help me fix my fox or put it back to 2.X

Sorry you don't like it. I love it. As far as anything else I would just uninstall it and it and redownload it. I am sure there are mirrors all over that still have 2.x up.

I'm of two minds. I like the ovbious improvements in appearance, RSS and bookmarks, and password management.

But my favorite extension Focus Last Selected Tab (FLST) is not supported, and I'm lost without it.

I considered reverting to 2.0, but I thought I'd stick it out -- and I'm not sure how.

The firefox I have installed with the default style has a scroll bar, but on another where I am using an alternate style, there isn't one.

Actually I like it. I just got an update today for 3.0.1. I am sure that a lot of the extensions will be updated in no time.

I love the new look and feel to FF3...in fact I'm mad that Mozilla didn't update the Windows version to look as nice.

I hope so, but I think my beloved FLST has been abandoned I need to see if Tab Mix Plus provides the same feature: clicking a tab toggles to the previously selected tab. A simple tool, but incredibly helpful.

Woohoo! Found a replacement for FLST: LastTab. If you're a Firefox user, I suggest giving this a try. The simple feature of clicking a tab to switch to the previously viewed tab is surprisingly useful. This is one of the two features that keeps me with Firefox over Safari.
