I'm surprised at the apparent lack of interest in this sale; it really is a good deal, with better prices even than DVD Planet (which usually beats DDD on Criterions) during their respective 20%-off sales. I've placed a couple of orders so far:

As far as I can tell, can't beat, or even come within a few dollars of, $16.18 shipped for the involved titles, and it seems to be the same story basically across the board with this sale.

I suppose the Criterion announcement of upcoming Blu-Ray releases may put some folks off from buying SD titles, but I'm looking to buy a few not on the initial BD list, guessing that it will be quite a while before they get around to catching up on all the catalog titles. Anyway, good deal on Criterions....

It is a good deal, even though DVD Planet's regular prices for Criterion are lower.

Buyers should remember that if you buy four DVDs, the lower-priced pair will be free, so depending upon price it may be wise to place multiple orders. For example, I ordered two $32 DVDs and two $24 DVDs. If I had placed just one order, my total discount would have been $48. By placing one order for the two $32 discs and one order for the two $24 discs, my discount was $56.

My inquiry is whether this promotion will be at DVDPlanet.com? I would appreciate if anyone learns that DVDPlanet is participating in the promotion, a comment be posted in this Thread.

If I wasn't being so good about waiting for the BDs this sale would resemble my legendary visits to the Fox Studio Store. . .

I don't see any evidence of a similar deal at DVD Planet.
