This was among my very first batch of BD purchases as I believe in having a properly calibrated monitor but to be honest i'm at a loss on how to use it.
I'm coming off of AVIA and it's easy to use video test patterns but this disc is more complex during explanation of it's video and audio tutorials. Often it ventures into techno jargon that I can't follow and I just want to know in simple terms from those of you who have become used to using it easily what I need to look for when setting my video.
I need a breakdown of the five main settings...Black level, White level, Color, Tint and Sharpness...and what I need to look for in my image while setting them. If you need to know the make and type of my monitor in order to give me the best advice it's a Mitsubishi 60" RP model #WD-60735.
I'm trying my best to explain exactly what I need but I hope someone understands, i'm sure this disc is amazing however it seems too complex to be easily understood and used by someone like me.
Basically i'm looking for the DVE HD Basics for Dummies version.
