"Guys and Dolls" (2006 Deluxe) question

Thread Starter
I purchased the "Guys and Dolls" (1955) Deluxe Edition release (2006) recently thinking it would be an upgrade from my old disc. That was before I read the reviews about the cropping and color problems.

1) Did MGM/Sony do a recall on this for me to get a proper disc or have they released it again corrected?

2) I see a "original theatrical trailer" listed as extras online but don't see it on this edition. It is on the old disc. Am I overlooking it?

Eric: HERE'S the original discussion. I have owned both discs but don't remember if the trailer made it to the latest release.

But to answer #1, I don't believe there was any sort of recall or issuance of corrected discs. We're stuck with what's out there now.

Maybe it will be an early BD title.

And maybe for the BD they'll use the same cropped and distorted HD master. Something to worry about...

The very idea of a $35, bare-bones, cropped and distorted Blu-Ray.

The trailer was included on the original release, but NOT on the 'Deluxe' Edition re-release.
