What do you buy for cheap TVs?

It seems this is a particularly bad time to be looking for an inexpensive TV. I got new bedroom furniture and want to replace my 15-year old, hand-me-down 21"-ish TV in the bureau.

I can get a 24" CRT for $200 -- but I'm done with CRT -- or jump to $400 minimum for an "Insignia" 22" LCD. For anything "namebrand" it's over $500 for a 26" or larger. It seems like there's no good options for buying a cheap, second TV for the bedroom.

What do you think? What do you do for secondary TVs? (The terrible part is that my bureau will fit up a 46" widescreen, and that's so tempting, but so not a good decision )

Either wait for prices to come down to your range, use your Bush stimulus check, or just stick with CRT for the bedroom. I just got a 50" plasma (thanks, Bush!) and I'm wondering what to do with my 36" CRT. It was over $300 a few years ago. Want to buy it?

(Actually, I'd like to thank all the rich people who were heavily taxed in order to have their money redistributed to me, in order to purchase my TV. Thanks!)

No thanks. I've got a 36" HDTV CRT already, and I'll be glad to get rid of it in a few years. I may have to wait another year for 30" LCD to drop to under $500.
