"Whatever THE DIRTY DOZEN did," screamed the ads, "they do it dirtier!" INGLORIOUS BASTARDS is more than just the inspiration for Quentin Tarantino's long-rumored next movie; this 1978 international smash remains perhaps the biggest and most badass war movie in EuroCult history! Exploitation legends Fred 'The Hammer' Williamson and Bo (WALKING TALL, KILL BILL) Svenson star as the leaders of a gang of condemned criminals who escape from an Allied prison camp with a plan to blast their way to the Swiss border, only to find themselves 'volunteering' for a suicide mission deep inside Nazi occupied France. Academy Award(r) nominee Ian Bannen (FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX, BRAVEHEART) co-stars in this explosive action epic from director Enzo Castellari (STREET LAW, THE BIG RACKET), now fully restored from original vault elements for the first time ever in America!

Wow, best DVD release of the year so far in my opinion. A luxury 3 disc set with soundtrack, audio commentary and numerous in-depth features not to mention the stunning print.

Watching a Castellari movie reminds me that at one time there was a such thing as real stunts, real explosions, real fires and not all of this boring, roll-my-eyes CGI crap in today's so-called action movies. Looking forward to this one.

I watched this film as part of a double feature with Moon Zero Two the other night. What a great double bill that was. Very drive-in movie feel watching them back to back. It looks great on dvd and I think it's a must buy for fans of war films and spaghetti productions. Also watched the interview with Tarantino and Castellari. Tarantino (who looks pretty bad and is sucking on a beer the whole time) talks about his version of Inglorious Bastards during the discussion. He claims it will be another two part film, like Kill Bill, but won't really be a remake of Enzo's film. I found this pretty interesting and I really look forward to seeing what Quentin does with it.

I also enjoy these old films due to the lack of CGI and how they really had to do the stunts and be inventive when creating the look of the film. This is a fun film, not great but a lot of fun to watch and I'm sure Tarantino will also make a film that's a lot of fun too.

I really like this film. One kick-ass rollercoaster ride and highly recommended. Totally silly of course, but fun!
