My father has a denon avr3300 (oldie but goodie) and the sound has stopped coming out of the left front speaker. The receiver now has "analog only" lit up on the display, and it seems like it is playing mono (I can hear all the sounds coming from all the speakers). The speaker from the left front is also not working, as I tried hooking it up to the right front cables and no sound whatsoever. It seems like the left front channel is blown. Any input folks? Also, if the channel blew, could it have taken the speaker out with it, or vice versa? Any input would be appreciated! Thanks.

Re: "analog only"... help!
If you moved the left speaker to the right channel and it didn't work, then the speaker is blown. It would be unusual for an amp channel to blow and take the speaker with it, but I'd say it's not impossible. Did you try moving the right speaker to the left channel? That would tell you for sure what's blown.
