Can't Reply in a thread...

I am scratching my head over my inability to post a reply in this review thread.

I was hoping to post a comment but saw that my ability is "turned off." Since this was the first thread I visited today, I thought (after I checked to make sure I was logged in) that I had been banned or something! The thread isn't closed or anything. I just can't post.

Then I discovered that all other threads seem to be working just fine for me.

I don't know if others cannot post in that thread either, but I was hoping that Sanjay Gupta would be able to post some recommendations of other films in the genre that he would recommend.

Mike, if you look at the first yellow box at the top of the review thread (below the Forum Jump pull-down menu), you'll notice that thread has been moved to the DVD Review Archive. It appears archived threads are read-only. Since Ron-P was able to post at 1:11 this morning, it appears it was archived just hours before you tried posting.

Why not PM Sanjay asking for recommendations? I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

Thanks, Scott. That must be it. I didn't notice.

Frankly, I never thought of it since the threads just a few weeks old. Seems kinda quick to be thrust into the archive--especially since there had been recent activity.

I also didn't know you couldn't post to archived threads. It seems to me old review threads have been resurrected with comments in the past. But, maybe not.
