Re: WHV Press Release: The Picture of Dorian Gray

Maybe Mark Zimmer never watched it on TCM or LaserDisc or VHS. The color inserts were restored years ago.

The version I taped off TCM has 4 separate color shots, iirc.

I haven't seen it in at least 20 years, which I believe is long before the color sequences were restored, and it was all B&W back then. I didn't know that they're now old hat, but that's definitely a good thing.

Re: WHV Press Release: The Picture of Dorian Gray

I got this over the Christmas holiday and it's great. The transfer is much cleaner than the version shown on TCM and I also noticed an additional bit of music after the credits that is not present on the TCM version.

I'm really glad that they included the original trailer as it contains some alternate takes. I haven't listened to the commentary yet, but I'm really looking forward to it.
