I currently faced with a dilemma. After loving the denon head unit I have for many years the 3802 for my home theater, I decided to buy another denon to power speakers in other areas of my home for music only. (8 more speakers run through a speaker selector ADS unit). What I overlooked is the fact that having two Denon units, I now have an issue when i use my remote to turn one one system both come on. I now need to sell one of them and need help on finding a unit (music only) to power my speaker selector. I was thinking a used rcvr might be best so I can pick up a better quality unit for about $400 or less. (moving one of the units is not an option)
This is what I am thinking so far: Onkyo sr605 or perhaps getting a better main unit Denon to power everything like a used 4802 (which is older and prob more money)? Any other options/brands with model numbers that come to mind.
The other speakers are 6 in ceiling sonance virtuosos and 2 outdoor Boston Grand Voyagers.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...
